Helge Håkansson studied at Otte Sköld and Signe Barth's painting schools in Stockholm and then undertook study trips to Greece, France and Spain. He had solo exhibitions in Sweden and participated in the group exhibition 'Young illustrators' at the National Museum in Stockholm.
